North Branch of Potomac

WHITE WATER RAFTING

Class II-III+

Rafting Picture

For the next step up from the Shenandoah, join us for our spectacular raft trip on the North Branch of the Potomac River. Water is released from the Jennings Randolph Dam in April, May and September creating premium conditions for white water rafting. The river is located about 1/2 hour south of Cumberland, Maryland.

The trip is the next step from the Shenandoah and contains class II to III+ rapids one right after another that create waves up to 6 ft. high. Sections of calm water between the rapids allow relaxing, swimming, and cliff jumping. The trip is from Barnum, WV to Bloomington, MD and is seven miles in length.
